Todd Esplin serves as Senior Vice President of Process Operations and Technical Services at i-80 Gold. He is a seasoned mining executive with over 40 years of experience spanning metallurgy, processing, safety & health, human resources, and open pit operations. Throughout his career, Todd has built a strong track record of leadership at industry-leading companies, including Barrick Gold Corporation and Kinross Gold Corporation. Known for his ability to manage diverse teams and solve complex operational challenges, he has spearheaded major projects that improved efficiency by 7-10%, while consistently driving operational excellence through strategic planning and effective risk mitigation.

Prior to joining i-80 Gold, Todd held progressively senior roles at Kinross Gold Corporation, including Mining Manager and Process Manager. Earlier in his career at Barrick Gold Corporation, he served in a variety of key leadership positions, including Metallurgical Services Superintendent, Autoclave Superintendent, Human Resources Manager, and Principal Accounting Metallurgist. With deep technical expertise and decades of hands-on leadership across multiple mining disciplines, Todd continues to bring strategic insight and operational rigor to every role he undertakes.
